Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is an item that can make certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's often given as a prize at Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to increase their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, dependent on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being utilized. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item to be upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade item s have special effects that are visible when they are used. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma merchants or traded with other players on the Trading Post, used to repair equipment, or acquired as rewards during games.
There are a variety of upgrade components available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions, can be used on any kind of equipment; they provide less bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, while enhancements are able to be used on back equipment that is ascended. Injecting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be used in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and replaced.
Insignias, enchantments, and upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia will change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). item upgrades of an item will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to see and insert these particular characters along with normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph provides a primary stat boost for the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by additional bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item you have selected. Be aware that only the correct kind of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for in that every weapon, jewelry or armor piece can have a different set of available Glyphs.
Glyphs can be improved by running Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the area is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
When a Glyph is at the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give the stated bonus and increase the number of nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be put where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonuses if certain conditions can be fulfilled.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of perspectives. Each view shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process by which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to pull the character or weapon you are interested in. It is done to for you to increase your level faster or to get better loot such as a new weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters they like regardless of their strength. This could be because they like the character's design or their personality.
When you reroll, you need be sure that the changes you're making are clean. This means that you must verify locally that the patch is able to pass the pre-commit checks and run a core development check. The patch should be uploaded with a plain difference to an issue (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Rerolls could take days or weeks to complete, depending on the luck of the draw. During this time, it is recommended to avoid any optional enemy camps to cut down on time. Additionally, you should avoid re-doing any quests that are completed later in the game. This can save you time and energy.
When you reroll, it is crucial to be aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to improve your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. In addition, it is important to understand the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling isn't an absolute requirement but it's an option to increase your chances of obtaining the right character or weapon. It is a great option when you're trying to find the best character to play or if you're looking to test different play styles and builds.
Sets
A set is a group of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets are used for operations such as intersection, union, and difference.
Upgrades can make a set more effective than it was prior to. For armor and weapons this means it will gain an increase in the base defense, an lower strength requirement, and a lower requirement for level.
Upgrades are an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to level with their higher-tiered set counterparts. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in an assortment are suitable for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff are already exceptional and elite in their own right and do not need upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could be benefited by an upgrade to improve their performance. For these kinds of items, it may be worth the extra expense to upgrade them.
