World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your items is an essential element of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and the enchantments of items.
They also offer rewards and upgrades. The Blacksmith can also sell them to you.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the gauge for upgrading.
Weapons
When a weapon gets upgraded, it gets a base damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor which affects other stats. Certain upgrade components come with aesthetic effects while others give additional features. These upgrades can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools, and they generally require that the equipment has an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. Once a weapon or armor piece has an upgrade component in it, it can be upgraded but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item it self.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that increases certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This can be done via the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the level of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.
After the weapon has reached its maximum upgrade and is then modified to give different bonuses and effects or improve specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be re-applied simultaneously, and the effects differ based on the nature of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the damage that a weapon inflicts.
Generally, it is recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it is common to see melee druids upgrading their weapon before they upgrade any other gear, as this helps maximise DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that can be very efficient in increasing the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to enhance the base stats of certain armor pieces, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, like more damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item Upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as rewards from quests.

Most of the time, a piece of armor can be upgraded to the next level once an upgrade is applied. Most armor types can be upgraded, however some items (such as the starter armour in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades increase the item's defense or strength by only a tiny amount. However, some upgrade components can give significant enhancements to defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.
Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be very beneficial in combat. For example they can boost attack speed or block. Certain upgrades can have passive effects that can be beneficial for example, reducing damage while wearing armor or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Upgrades to armor could require multiple attempts, depending on the type. For example for instance, if a player wants to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale the first attempt would result in a new piece of Dragonscale with the base defense of 59 and 67. The second attempt would result in the creation of a Dragonscale armor with a base defense of between 67 and 77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations houses an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief armor isn't useless in The Division 2. Some armors offer a significant increase in the ability to reduce the damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them valuable for certain types of builds. There are other ways to boost the stats of armor besides upgrading armor, such as using the engineer attribute to increase armor penetration or the challenger to reduce the weight of the entire armor.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by placing it in the brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a new level of potion effect and can be repeated for more potency levels.
The potion also has a custom color code that the player can pick via /give, and that affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows produced by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color also affects the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, mundane potions that are thick and awkward now have a new brewing texture. Add potion of weakness and healing potion to the Creative inventory. The potions are lingering and can be brewed with dragon breath or splash potions, and a thick potion with the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4:00). Trinket
A trinket can be an inexpensive, small ornament or piece jewelry. It could be a necklace, ring, or even a small flag to mark a boat's yard that is lateen. It can also refer to a gold-plated trinket on the mast of a vessel.
This macabre trinket appears to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze by making them more common. At the moment, this trinket makes all kinds of mimic Xx more prevalent and gives every floor the chance to have an ebony-colored mimic. This trinket is priced at a moderate amount of energy to upgrade.
The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to influence the dungeon, increasing its likelihood of generating water and grass. At its current level, this trinket can make X% of the floors filled with grass or water, but doesn't affect enchantments or symbols, cursed weapons or armor, or other items created to help solve hazard rooms.
While it looks like the normal eye of a newt this mystical item seems to be affecting your vision in ways that go beyond simply reducing your field of view. This trinket, at the moment level, boosts the health benefits of drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within Y tile. This trinket does not stack with the Higher Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you have completed the Mastery Cave. You can find them after defeating Monsters and in chests and crates. They are not available in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
Place the trinket in the Anvil whenever it is required to be upgraded. This will affect the trinket which is random, either increasing or strengthening its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as many times as you want, but it will always have the same effect.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. It will cost you 6 energy and increase the trinket's power by just a little.
